We are proud to be actively growing participation of women and girls at every level of the club, from players and referees to coaches and leaders.
What we're doing:
Hosting dedicated programs for women and girls (e.g., GO Girls Program)
Running information nights for our Women & Girls to empower their journey.
Using inclusive language and gender-sensitive coaching
Celebrating Female Football Week with tournaments and community events
Highlighting achievements of women in our club across social media

At Officer City Soccer Club, keeping our players safe and thriving is a top priority. We’re building a club culture that actively supports injury prevention, smart recovery, and positive play.
What we're doing:
Encouraging warm-ups using the FIFA 11+ injury prevention program
Partnering with local allied health professionals for expert advice and support
Sharing practical injury prevention tips and recovery tools with our members
Providing access to first aid officers and resources at training and games
Maintaining clear processes for incident reporting and injury follow-up
Reviewing and promoting our Injury Prevention Policy and extreme weather guidelines
Play smart, play safe – From first aid to fair play, we’re working together to support every member’s wellbeing on and off the pitch.
At Officer City Soccer Club, we’re committed to keeping our players, coaches, and families safe in the sun. From sunscreen to smart scheduling, we’re making sun safety part of our game plan.
What we're doing:
Providing SPF 30+ sunscreen at the entry table on training and game days
Promoting sun safety reminders on social media and club signage
Adding sun hat to our club uniform range and encouraging their use
Monitoring UV levels using the SunSmart widget on our website
Displaying posters and sharing resources each summer to raise awareness
Encouraging input from our members through surveys and feedback

At Officer City Soccer Club, we believe that healthy choices off the pitch support great performances on it. That’s why we’re committed to promoting nutritious food options, smart habits, and education through our canteen and club culture.
What we're doing:
Reviewing and improving our canteen and training menus each season, aiming for more "green" items and fewer "red" items
Highlighting healthy choices on the front shelf and making water the most visible drink in the fridge
Displaying traffic light menu classifications and water-friendly signage to support informed choices
Encouraging canteen volunteers to complete the Healthy Eating Advisory Service’s training
Promoting resources like the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Try for 5 Week (National Nutrition Week)
Updating our healthy eating policy and keeping families informed through social media and Team App

What we're doing:
Displaying No Smoking or Vaping signage at the entrance near the canteen on game days
Including the Smoke-Free Club logo on all newsletters and our website
Posting a Smoke-Free Round each season to raise awareness and provide kid-friendly education materials
Supporting World No Tobacco Day (31 May) with Quit resources and community messaging
Reviewing and updating our Smoke-Free Policy regularly, and sharing updates with members
Informing ground marshals and MPIO officers of the correct response to non-compliance

What we're doing:
Partnering with Headspace and Monash Health to deliver resources and workshops
Hosting Mental Health Rounds with creative activities like arts classes and BBQs
Sharing resources across our socials and club noticeboard
Training coaches and committee on how to support members and spot early signs
Celebrating achievements and talents of our members beyond the pitch
Promoting our Mental Wellness Policy and Mental Health First Aid Officers
